Tlanelolli
Tlanelolli are those of mixed heritage in Kalmasa, mainly Eshtem and Calmaxtec heritage. Tlanelolli are predominant in the west and south of Kalmasa, less common in the more sparsely settled northern provinces. Tlanelolli are less discriminated against by the Eshtem than full-blooded Calmaxtec and Ranjari, however they still are not accepted as equals. The rise of the merchant class in Kalmasa, among which many tlanelolli families have prospered, has begun to change this mindset, especially in the large port cities of the Samraj.
Tlanelolli do not have a singular cultural identity, who they are culturally depends on their family origin and the region in which they grew up. However some commonalities are a tendency to be more urban and less traditional, with a willingness to adapt and adopt new ideas and beliefs. Most of the new followers of the teotl Huanactli's syncretic revival movement are tlanelolli, in addition to other syncretic belief systems arising between the Teteo of the Calmaxtec and the devas of the Eshtem.
