The town is part of the Southern Province, but isn't large enough to warrant a Regent. As such, the town is run by a council of prominent citizens; the Iron Home Town Council.

History

In the earliest years of the Shudan Shogunate mines in the area were booming in an effort to support the smiths of Ganeshuku and supply the newly expanded Ironbound units. Eager investors from the Amaya, Chiyuki, and Okane clans began constructing hostels in the area, where miners could sleep for a week at a time until they had collected enough of a load to haul back to Ganeshuku with them. Businesses centered around repairing and supplying mining gear began to open, and more permanent houses appeared. The Okane clan in particular was eager to develop the area into a thriving town, and constructed their own elaborate Okane Manor there as a symbol of what the town would become.   Unfortunately it was around this time that Hokuya was being abandoned due to the discovery that The Fade was expanding. Owing to this, and the relative decrease in demand from Ganeshuku as a result, Iron Home never fully grew into everything it could have been.
