Morelaine

Morelaine is large capital city, rich with many different cultures and containing a wide variety of diverse peoples. Cuisine from all over the Continent of Tariel can be found here and it is considered the the melting pot of Lunaire. Mayor Bernard Wyghtham manages the city fairly and its citizens are generally happy.

Government

Lunaire Leader Helena Berry is the high government of Lunaire and has an office here, Morelaine mayor Bernard Wyghtham manages the city's affairs.

Industry & Trade

Imports textiles and ore from Fallbrook, produce and meat from Featherdew, and its fish from Port Town. It is far enough to the south that it has its own agricultural region but farther north than Featherdew so it is able to support different types of crops. It has its own shipyard on the Atoya River and exports boats to the cities along the river.

Guilds and Factions

The Adventurer's Guild has their headquarters here, and is where Aisling Kelly's office is located. The guild's front is managed by Sizura Hashimoto. The BFG has an office nearby, managed by Kero Nyansky.
Supporters of the The Ragni Syndicate can be found here as well in the city's underbelly.

History

Morelaine was established as Lunaire's capital city before The Civil War during one of the periods when Fallbrook was being rebuilt. Its central location to the rest of Continent of Tariel proved to be more convenient and the capital never moved back.

Tourism

The biggest event this year in Morelaine is undoubtedly The Trials. Thousands from across the Continent of Tariel have descended upon the city, ready to watch the games unfold.

Many tourists travel here to watch the great Titanvolley tournaments held here every summer. The Menace Stadium here is the most impressive in Lunaire and the most prestigious. The local team, the Morelaine Menaces, has one of the largest fanbases in Lunaire.

Others prefer to check out the theatre scene, visiting the popular The Theater of the World or even the smaller Dewdrop Theatre or Wallflower Hall. The Morelaine Public Library is also located here and is the largest of its kind in the country.

Morelaine also boasts a strong craft alcohol community, with several breweries and a distillery in the city. Whether looking for a sour beer at Atoya Ales or enjoying a smooth lager at Morelaine Brewery, there's something to be found for everyone. Don't miss Tipsy Teppel Distillery as well!
