Losgate Temple of Tros

The other temple is the exact opposite. It has clearly been built on a tall platform of granite so as to tower over the nearby buildings. A large frieze is attached to the marble outside of the temple, showing the Four creating the continent and the plants and animals of the world. You catch a glimpse of a smaller structure inside the marble exterior, but you can't quite make it out in the bright afternoon light.

Purpose / Function

Like other temples of its kind, the Temple of Tros in Losgate handles Imperial Temple services every other day. It often competes with the Great Temple of Alté on the other side of the main canal. Those who cannot get into the Great Temple will go into the Temple of Tros, and the opposite is true.
This Temple of Tros is also the main headquarters of the Fighting Orders of the Imperial Temple, specifically those who have taken the Oath of Tros. The Lord of Dreams's chosen warriors often use the grounds behind the temple as a training ground.

Architecture

The building is built upon a solid foundation of granite, preventing it from sinking into the swampy ground of Losgate. Large heavy columns hold the thick ceiling in place, as well as the temple's famous frieze. The main hall of the temple is located inside this structure, inside of a smaller granite building.

History

The Temple of Tros was added only fifty years ago, as the number of people enlisted in the Fighting Orders began to stress the resources of their main fort in Fort Entwood. Along with the temples in Innére and Ardell, this temple was constructed to house those soldiers and serve the larger congregations of those lands.
