The Sea Fort
As you are led to the Sea Fort, you begin to see several tall towers emerge from the otherwise flat skyline of the city. The various canals and streets of Losgate begin to lead you towards the convergence of these towers, and as you round one bend, the entirety of the fortress opens in front of you.
The one thing that catches your eye as you walk into this structure is the walls. Without even having to rely on your knowledge of history, you know this structure is old, older than the Empire even. Dark blue and purple paint creates wavy designs along the walls and you can see how the construction of the stone mimics this. It gives a strange feeling, like the fortress is rising out of the canals around it.
Inside the decorated walls, the interior is completely flooded, purposefully so it seems. Two large bridges connect the two main gates of the structure to the interior tower, and a small walkway around the structure allows access to the six large towers.
Purpose / Function
Before the walls went up around the city following the arrival of Empire forces, this castle existed outside of the city and was used as a place of refuge during times of conflict. With the walls around the city mostly providing that service, the need is mostly past. Being at the same time the residence of the former Dukes of Lós, it is perfectly able to be hospitable; it has a large central keep that now houses the Head Magistrate's office and quarters.
Architecture
As a former residence and important landmark during the time of the Dukes of Lós, the fortress was built with their wavy heraldry in mind, hence the wavy patterns painted and designed into the stone walls of the structure.
