Circle of the Moon

The Circle of the Moon is an Archetype of the Druid Class available to players during Character Creation. It is the rarest type of Druid in The Old World, though still more common than the Circle of the Land in Thule and some parts of Ashur. Moon Druids are adept at transforming into beasts, granting them superhuman strength, speed, and durability in Combat (see https://www.dndwiki.io/subclasses/circle-of-the-moon).

Moon Druids feel a strong kinship with creatures of The Wild and are able to assume their forms with ease. Indeed, some are more comfortable in animal form than their own, and may live as beasts for days or even weeks at a time. While the Circle of the Moon does not emphasize spellcasting, Moon Druids can still channel nature magic and even infuse their animal form's teeth and claws with magical energy, allowing them to rend stone and armor as easily as flesh. They consider violence to be a part of the natural order, believing that the weak must be hunted by the strong in order to maintain balance.

It is said that the Circle of the Moon was bestowed on the Quessir by Sehanine Moonbow, goddess of the hunt, during the Age of Dawn. It is traditionally practiced by Elves and Moon Druids are relatively common in the majority Elven Nations of Ifri and Khitai, where Sehanine's cult is strongest. They are also prevalent in Thule, where the tradition is embraced by the tribal shamans of Mennavjar. Some have speculated that Humans learned it from the ancient Quessir inhabitants of Endelheim, who ceased to practice it themselves at some point after developing into Gnomes.
