The Judge-Kings of Akk-Ur and Jalron, Akkon and Izdubar, championed the creation of a common body for the many judgeships of the Mosehyrian region: a Union Synod. It was intended to serve as a forum by which the judgeships' interests could be discussed, as well as a means to facilitate the communication of foreign policy and organisation of joint defence.

The Umbral Deluge
Military: WarThe Umbral Deluge was an Abyssal invasion of the Material Plane by the Demon Lord Vyriavaxus. It led to the fall of the Imperium of Hyx and the temporary unification of the remaining realms under the Brass Pact, an alliance led by the powerful Judgeship of Akk-Ur. After barely managing to defeat the Dark Host in 995, Akk-Ur consolidated into the Kingdom of Akkon and emerged as the military and economic hegemon of the continent. -

Collapse of Hyx
Disaster / DestructionThe Imperium of Hyx, despite possessing a vast and well-equipped military, could not withstand the force of the Dark Host. With many of their legions tied up in a war against Rûn Tel'Kar, the Dark Host easily quashed the Hyxian home forces and began to destroy the logistical support network of the Imperium. For one year, the Hyxian legions conducted increasingly futile operations against the invading demons, but in the end, all resistance was annihilated and the realm completely destroyed. -

Formation of the Brass Pact
Political eventThe Brass Pact was a pan-continental coalition that included virtually all realms, polities, and independent organisations of Kartia in the war against the Dark Host. It was the project of Izdubar, the Judge-King of Jalron, but the practical leaders of it were Akkon, Judge-King of Akk-Ur, alongside Lady Regent Telandia Edasseril of Rûn Tel'Kar and King Hjoldir Hardhand of Malakad. The Pact did not persist after the Umbral Deluge. -

Unification of Akkon
FoundingAfter strengthening the position of the Union Synod of the Judges by subduing the tribes of Helvatia and sponsoring numerous post-invasion reconstruction efforts across the continent, Akkon the Builder had generated sufficient support to centralise the Synod. This was done by having the Exalted Karapan proclaim him as King and Defender of the Lands Underneath, after which he was declared to be the High Judge of the Union Synod. -

The Gloomlight Incident
Military actionWith the authority of King Gilgenon of Akkon, the adventurers Malgrim, Imaros, Jacqualine, and Del'Gado were tasked with investigating the recent disappearances of soldiers in the Gloomlight Forest, a day's travel from Akk-Ur. Eventually joined by Knight Caerlin Krexis, the party eliminated in total 34 goblins, bugbears, hobgoblins, a dragon wyrmling, and several Shadows that all belonged to an organised cult of Vyriavaxus led by a mysterious figure.

Dissolution of the Order of Hyron
DisbandmentThe vast Sun-Order of Hyron is implicated in a widespread doppelganger conspiracy. The evidence is brought forth by the Oval Knights of the Karapanate, and the Elysian Court of Akkon suspends the Establishing Charter of 980 and delegates the responsibility of a criminal investigation into the conspiracy to the Karapanate. All knights of the Order are instructed to disarm, which effectively signals the death knell of the proud Order. However, several chapters object to this decree, and the Bar-Sinhan chapters become a refuge for fleeing Knights of the Sun.

Rout of Khuramunz
Military: BattleTwo vanguard Akk-Bandas of the Noble Alliance Army gain entry through the southern fortifications of Khuramunz with the help of arcane infiltrators and spies. A detachment was sent to reclaim the Varnian Stone Garden, which housed a Kaedran delegation. The commanding officer refused the order to vacate, and when threats of summary executions were issued, had his troops open fire on the Akkonian soldiers. With their ranks collapsing and captains dying en masse, the Akk-Bandas retreated from Khuramunz, harried by enraged locals during the rout.
