Hewinn Benroty was the wife of the last Baron of Wessfall, Benn am Ohnni and is the mother of the current Baron, Brock am Ohnni. She is the younger sister of the current Ryuri Benroty, Rory Benroty.
Hewinn's life is, literally, a tragedy. At the age of thirty, Hewinn was promised to wed the Baron of Wessfall, Benn am Ohnni, in an effort to bring peace and stability between the two countries. She did not want this wedding to happen, but her father, Ryuri Rowan Benroty, insisted and forced her to comply. She travelled to Imesse and married the man on the same day she arrived, literally meeting him at the wedding feast. While this marriage was not something she wanted, she grew to love Benn very much, and took great delight in her life with him and their son, Brock, who was born in 194 AF.
In the year 199 AF, Hewinn and her young son travelled to Colo to visit her father at his castle at Rotrishold. During this visit, Hewinn and her father patched up their wounded relationship and after a three-month visit, parted closer than ever.
Then, in 213 AF, Imesse invaded Colo and Hewinn's husband, Benn, went with the army led by Torum am Nari, the Duke of Hekmo's son and heir. The army was utterly defeated at the Battle of Nyallshold and forced into a long and deadly retreat. When the fighting renewed in the spring of 214 AF, Benn was part of a large battle along the Colo-Imesse frontier in which he found himself in actual combat with the Ryuri Benroty himself... his father-in-law Rowan Benroty (although he did not know it). Benn killed Rowan in single combat amidst the mud and blood of the large battlefield, but was slain himself only minutes later. Benn's aide-de-camp witnessed the fight between Rowan and Benn, and recounted it later to the Duke of Hekmo himself.
Benn's body was recovered and returned to Wessfall, where it was received by Hewinn along with the news of her father's death at her husband's hand.
