Low Town District of Len Doa

Low Town is a neighborhood on the High Street of Len Doa.  It is located in the western half of the city, between the outer wall's "Blue Gate" and the second wall's "Rose Gate".  The neighborhood covers roughly one square mile, and is considered one of the rougher sections of Len Doa.

Architecture

Many narrow, dark streets and alleys near the outer walls, and large run-down warehouses near the second wall.  Any nice or fashionable buildings are located very near to High Street, which runs directly through the district east to west.

Defenses

Both the Blue Gate and the Rose Gate are manned, fully-functional fortifications.  Each has a Watch section assigned to it every day.  The gates are closed and secured on a nightly schedule.

History

Low Town is one of the newest sections of the city.  The outer wall wasn't completed until 25 years ago, and the properties it encompassed were mostly riverside wharfs, shanties and warehouses.

Tourism

Low Town is where one will find inns such as The Blue Rose, The Roaring Sailor, and the    One can also find a more unsavory side of the city here, including such dens of ill repute as The Split Rail and The Ship's Wheels.
