Castle District of Len Doa
The Castle District, or as the locals call it: Old Town, is the heart and center of political life in both the city and the duchy as a whole. It is built around the original ducal castle built by regional strong men and petty kings more than 500 years ago, and then conquered by Benn Ohn when he founded the Kingdom of Imesse. King Benn then named Lenis Ahm as the first Duke of Len Doa, who made the castle at Len Doa his seat.
The district is centered around the Duke's Palace and the King's Court square where four major roads of the city meet. The surrounding properties are all very elaborately built and expensively appointed. Many are palaces in their own right. The finest shops, the largest homes, the most expensive inns are all located here in the Castle District along with the governmental buildings and offices not located within the Duke's Palace itself.
