Nordarak Mountains

The Nordarak Mountains are a spur of the Arak Mountains that begin far to the south of Aria and end at the mouth of the Eau del'Est, the eastern-most edge of the Kingdom's southern extent. This range of mountains runs almost north-south for nearly 100 miles through the eastern portions of the County of Daynmor.   There are two significant settlements located within the Nordarak Mountains: Uflad on the western slope of the Nordarak, and Estril on the eastern slope.  There is a high, clear pass between these towns called Pass Road (Route deCol, in Arian) that allows wagons and carts to manage the traverse over the range.  On the eastern end of Pass Road is the headwaters of the La Col River, a partially-navigable tributary of the Eau del'Est giving additional cargo hauling capacity to both Estril and Estport.

Geography

A rugged and steep spur range of the greater Arak Mountains, it is the watershed divide between the Eau del'Est and the rest of the County of Daynmor.

Natural Resources

Abundant mineral wealth, with active mines of iron, tin, lead and silver.  There are many quarries operating here harvesting a fine grade of bluestone that is much in demand as the region develops.
