Candus

Brother Candus is a Human Monk who served at the Seowyn's Crossing Church of Shandalene under Abbot Justan and who now serves under Abbot Jacoby. He was trained by Kalashtar monks from Dojhan in their unarmed combat techniques, and he acts as the church’s unofficial guardian. He is clearly Summerling in origin, being shortish, stocky, and dark-haired. This causes a lot of people to be extremely surprised at his strength and speed.
The Minotaur Cleric Natharios recently learned that Candus was part of the group (also including Abbot Justan, Jacoby, and Brother Teodorus) that saved him from his Uncle Sklirios Bloodheart and his brother Kethalios Blackhorns when his parents Eleos and Kalosyne Blackhorns were slain. Abbot Justan had previously told him that they’d been saved from a Goblinoid attack. This fact doesn't seem to have affected his relationship with Candus.
