Baron Kasper Bernard Cahlan
Lord Kasper Cahlan is a lean, weathered man, standing tall at five foot ten inches. He carries himself with poise and self-assurance that is born of years of experience. He is a man of middle age, with long grey hair tied back in a ponytail and a closely-trimmed beard that accentuates his sharp jawline. His eyes are a cool, steel blue, deep-set and piercing, taking in the world around him with a shrewd and analytical gaze. He is often seen wearing a simple, yet elegant tunic, leggings, and boots, accessorized with a simple cloak emblazoned with his house's silver fox. He exudes an air of wisdom and confidence, his expression hinting at a deep understanding of the world and the people in it. He is a man who has seen much, and has many stories to tell, but he chooses his words carefully, only speaking when it truly matters.
He is one of the local Barons in Landow alongside Lord Raydon Besk. His, and the Besk, family have been present for much of Landow's recent growth for near one-hundred years, but that was during a time when there was far more unity amongst the far fewer lords in the Southern Lands of the Salvae Empire. Like his contemporary Baron, he too spent many years of his youth and adulthood in the heat of battle before he had the opportunity to settle down and start a family. His service brought him much further than he'd ever thought they could and he saw much of the less hospitable regions of Kalbela near the Jade Wood as a vanguard and scout, where he would earn the name "Silver Fox of the Jade" that would later serve as his sigil when he was awarded his barony. Though his service did not taint his optimism for the world, it has most definitely hardened him and ebbed his risk tolerance as his civilian life shortly there after was less than fortotous. For many years, his new hope has been that a Marquessate of the South could be reestablished and better stability can return to the region as it was told by his mentor, Cadlym Bolluln, in centuries past, now that his son, Cade, has returned from his service with the Grand Army.
