Political Geography of the Maraian Commonwealth
The Maraian Commonwealth is divided roughly into three regions: the Emerald Expanse & Environs (Lowlands) to the west, the Highlands to the east and the Heartlands in the main continent's centre, including the Petal Cities of O-Hoshakeiro). Each region, in turn, is divided into its clan territories. Each clan is listed below, along with their Totem Kami. Links to full articles and image galleries are also provided.

Politically Unaligned Locales
- Empyreal City — Seat of the Shōgun; all clans are guaranteed a presence in the city
- O-Hirasenka — The largest of the unaligned port & trade cities, located at the inland tip of the Dragonstail inner sea
- O-Hoshakeiro — Second largest of the unaligned port & trade cities, located where the Sea of Auspices drains into the Dragonstail
- O-Niwatsune — Third largest of the unaligned port & trade cities, located on the Niwa Inlet along the eastern coast of the Godskama Sea
- The Temple of One Thousand Converging Winds — One of the holiest sites in Marai, located on an island offshore of O-Hoshakeiro
