I've managed to grab a number of books from Strickland's collection. Several of them are about Kindred, and make reference to any number of artifacts...the Sanguine Chalice, in particular, is interesting. It's supposed to be made from a human heart. I must learn more about it - its supposed powers, its history, where it's supposed to be (or where it was last seen, at least). I might see about making it part of my coursework, if I can track down enough information.

After the abortive meeting, there's a brawl near the club. after Lyra puts Jake into torpor, Butterfly comes running up. Zildreki just received a note from the Chicago Chantry and has forwarded it to us. Apparently Juan has vanished while searching for the Sanguine Chalice, and the Chicago Chantry wants Daniel and Lottie (and anyone else they care to take) to track him down, rescuing him if necessary.

It has come to our attention that one of our valued clan members, Juan Perez, has gone missing while on an overseas assignment to research information on the Sanguine Chalice. We need to put together a team to locate him, and, if necessary, to perform a tactical extraction.
The Ventrue, Daniel Blackthorne, and the Brujah, Lottie Adton, were associates of his. We feel they would be a good place to start when putting together the extraction team.
We defer to your judgment, as newly appointed Representative in New Orleans, to complete this assignment with all due haste.
