[[from GM:]] You hear the two women arguing, first in hushed voices and gradually getting louder Karen: "I am NOT bringing the boy here. I am risking enough having YOU here"
[[from GM:]] Julia "I NEED to see him. What happened is MY responsibility" Karen "NOW you want to talk about responsibility!"
[[from GM:]] They go back and forth for almost 20 minutes. It escalates to shouting, and you hear glass break.
[[from GM:]] Karen: "I'm leaving. I have work to do." You hear her walking towards the door. More glass shattering. "I'll be back after you calm down." Julia: "You can't keep him away from me forever!! "
[[from GM:]] Door opens, very close to where you are cloaked in shadows. Karen slams the door behind her and storms to her car. She throws gravel as she peels out of the driveway. From inside, you hear more glass breaking, sounds of furniture being thrown about, and then only the sound of her sobbing.
[[from GM:]] After Julia stops crying, you hear furniture being put back in place, and she seems to be sweeping up the broken glass. She breaks down into more tears a few times during this process, and eventually the house goes quiet.
When I report to Daniel and the others, he informs us that "the boy" is probably one Josiah, a Childe Julia created without permission. He's currently under the care of Morgaine, the Toreador Primogen, and he's got some kind of mental issues caused by a botched Embrace. Julia ran when she was called in for questioning about the boy's Embrace; apparently now she's returned and wants her Childe back.
Julia's relationship with Karen is a little odd. Apparently they were serious rivals before Julia ran off, yet now Karen is hosting Julia in her Haven. Anthony's opinion is that Julia has some leverage over Karen, but that has yet to be proven.
Dr. Strickland sends Morgaine a message, delivered by Daniel, suggesting that Josiah might benefit from his specialized type of care.
==[sleep for the day]==
Tracking Karen is fairly easy. She begins her day at the mansion and spends a couple hours there. She leaves in a huff, and even shoves her chauffeur when he doesn't get the car door open fast enough.
I'm able to follow her to the art museum, where she picks up a couple of mortals and brings them back to her Haven - even if she doesn't need to bring them back to feed, Julia will need them brought. Karen then goes to a hotel, where she stays (her chauffeur takes the humans away, then returns and parks, settling in to wait).
[[from GM:]] You are able to determine the room - and that she and her chauffeur are apparently sharing a suite.
