meeting at St. Paul's Cathedral with a priest calling himself Father Phillipe
He offers me $5000 to clean up a stain for the church; I counter with $20000, and we decide on $10000 - half up front, half on delivery.
As I'm being escorted out (by a nun, rather than the deacon who led me in), the nun escorting me thinks she's found a traitor (the deacon) and confronts him, dragging the poor man before Father Phillipe. I follow, sure this could be a complication of my mission.
There's something strange going on here. For a moment, I could see Father Phillipe as an Inquisition torturer and the nun [Sister Heloise] wearing armor, while the cuts Father Phillipe just inflicted on the deacon spewed blacker-than-black tentacles instead of blood. This is *not* normal.
The deacon's body dissolves into bugs, which the priest and the nun take care of. The weirdest thing is that this seems *normal* to them. They were prepared, they knew exactly what to do, and they've clearly done it many times before. But...it's definitely *not* normal.
As I'm leaving the church, I catch a glimpse of a humanlike figure walking up the building...but I must be imagining things, because I blink and it's gone.
