A Good Night For A Hunt
The long night has arrived, and glory awaits! But first, Soren wants to search the town for more signs of the Rat man and his plague rats. I took the opportunity to reassure the town that I was here to help in case monsters appear.
Nothing much came up as a result of Soren's hunt for rats, but I was approached by a boy who told me his brother was taken in the woods by monsters. I told the boy I would find his brother, and our group traveled into the woods, following the boy's directions. Soren was able to find and follow some large canine tracks deeper in, where we found some wolves with fire in their mouths. Hellhounds.
After a somewhat difficult battle, we struck down the last of the Hellhounds. They may have been defending this place, but I don't really know. The boy was there, and though injured, seems alive. Raghnall was able to provide some first aid- enough to save the boy. We took him back to town, returning him to his brother and family.
The long night came to a close at the next dawn. No more monsters or stories of them reached me as we waited out the next week. Soren received word from Reinard, and apparently we're now off to visit the lady at her manor. Hopefully she has some idea where I can find Geoffroi...
