Dragonrise

Dragonrise is a summer holiday in Azimuth. It is celebrated yearly on 31 Jeran, which is the anniversary of the ascension of Chedae, The Heaven's Light, to Zenethia, the Plane of Light. It is known as a celebration of good triumphing over evil. It is part of the larger Festival of Dragons event.

Description

After the death of Zenthai, The Dragon King, on 2 Avedar 4A 996, Chedae was revealed to Zenethian Heroes as the daughter of Zenthai and the heir to the realm of Zenethia.
On 31 Jeran 4A 997, Chedae travelled to Hometown with the Zenethian Heroes. She said her goodbyes to them and ascended to the Plane of Light, succeeding her father as the next Dragon Deity of Zenethia and starting the Fifth Age.
In the Fifth Age, Dragonrise became commemorated as a holiday celebration. On this day, many fathers present gifts to their daughters.

History

The Fourth Age: The Age of Shadow

On 31 Jeran 4A 997, Chedae ascended to Zenethia, succeeding Zenthai as the Dragon Deity of Light.

The Fifth Age: The Age of Beginnings

On 31 Jeran 5A 057, Gertrude Oathenhammer was brought by her father to see Chedae's Tear when she was five-years-old. Chedae granted Gertrude a vision and spoke to her.
On 31 Jeran 5A 351, Coinguard Gim Gorod was banned from Cardinal Desires in the city of Porgorag. After instituting the ban, Matriarch Eval then hired a local minotaur to watch the entrance.
