Midway

Though it is only a few hundred miles across the Sargasso Sea, Midway has often been the source of fanciful wonder and adventure for young Tremalkers; Vast deserts, dense jungles and mystical ruins and lost cities, it is a place as diverse as it is vast.
In the past it was known as Middos, during the times of the old Empire. This changed when trade routes to Alantris was discovered, being referred to as Midway from a common saying, “halfway though the Midway.” Referring the continents wide souther coasts by sailors and traders.
It is home the vast D’shar desert, where the Caliphates of the Serkland Sultans reside, the far jungles of Zulucan, where the Yuan Ti reign, the Moors to the south, homeland to halfling kind, the Midway princedoms, the nation of Reikland, the lost gnomish city of Gnometerasu, and many other wonders.
