The Darklake

The Darklake, sometimes called the Ventral of the Twin Titan, is the largest body of water in the Ways. Roughly a thousand Miles across, it is the primary waterway for many subterranean societies.

Geography

The Darklake lays some 20 miles (32 kilometers) beneath the surface of Azure, under the Continents of Tremalking and western Midway. It stretched out underneath most of the Central Dwarven Marches.
The Darklake consisted of a large body of water filling dozens of huge vaults, some thousands of feet (hundreds of meters) high. It is famous for many things; the many ribbon cascades of water that sprayed down from the high ceilings, its own weather under the surface, and for it mysterious fauna and flora.
Most waters of the world eventually makes its way down to the Darklake. It then further descends into the great whirlpool called the Great Breach. This Maw descends further into Azures crust, where eventually the heat of the core evaporates the water, sending it back to the surface via vents that honeycomb the planet.
Its name, "The Ventral of the Twin Titan", comes from the fact that the Heart of Titan was once located in the chamber called The Ash, before the diety moved it during the events of the Second Apocalypse. Its movements were felt as "Quakes the likes of which the world has never felt. A cataclysm during a catacylsm."

Localized Phenomena

Due to the large scale of thre Darklake, it is able to have its own weather. Constant storms roll through the various chambers of the Darklake, sending the surface of this ocean to churn neverending.
