Auroral Forest
The Auroral Forest is a coastal expanse of scraggley white-barked softwood trees, cacti, thin-trunked eucalypts, thorny shrubs and other hardy flora that can survive a lengthy time without water. It is part of the Eastern Desert and very little rainfall reaches this area. The waterways are salty and poisonous and should be hostile to all life, but for reasons unknown there is a tightly knit core of the forest where the waters run pure and fresh, giving the plant life of that specific area a critical reprieve from the unrelenting desert conditions. Once the waters flow away from that core, the salt and silt return.
The guild is now aware these effects are due to the custodianship of Aurora, guardian of the desert glade.
