The Golden Delta

There is actually gold to be found in the sand-rivers of the Golden Delta. Just not much of it, and it has to be panned away from the sludge, silt and razor-sharp sand of the Moorsland desert. Its still enough for a handful of miners to eek out a precarious living in scattered towns just within the edge of Na'Faish's patrols, and the occassional iron deposit and even flakes of mithril supplements the meagre supply of gold.

The delta is an outlet for Lake Starfall to the north, fed by thin underground channels through the limestone bedrock that for whatever reason don't link up with the Starfall River further east. Scraggly bushes, ghost-white eucalids, and low saltbrush all desperately compete for water with buzzards, scorpions, rats, and the occassional blue dragon.
