Stonal Region

North of the Klendev Mountain Ranges, there are a few scattered villages and towns in the the valleys between the Mountains and the foothills that sperate them from the Frozen Northern Tundra. Due to the general Isolation that can occur from extreme weather, these populations centers do not adhere to a larger centralized government, relying on instead on local counsels. The people who have settled this region are well known for there indoor farms, using glass and other means to ensure food for there communities. There is also a large Magic school housed in a tower near Central City. In Central City, there is also a well known Library that is the jealousy of almost every other Library on the Contient.

The primary way to enter the Frozen north is up the Klendev Pass, and a carvan departs down it from one side or the other after few days, depending on the weather and conditions in the mountains. North of the civilized area is a seemingly endless frozen tundra. Here the sun does not shine, and snow always seemings to be falling. There are secrets frozen in this area, but they stay secrets because of the intense dangers associated with making it through the region alive.

While there is no centeralized government for this northern territory, each community works together for the best interest of all, as indivdual attempts at survival in this icy enviorment is to invite tragedy.

In the far distant north, there are some unusual ruins, but not only are these locations dangerous beyond belief, the trek north is deadly in and of itself. Prior to this dangerous zone, there is the valley just beyond the Klendev Mountains that is safer for travel, and settlements.

Weather

Most times it is quite cold here, though can thaw a bit in the depths of summer. Winter gear is highly recommended for any time spent in this region. Engineering has provided a variety of ways to resolve the heat problem in many communities by pushing warm air through tubes, though not all are covered by this service and have to light their own fires.
