Summer Camp Round Up & Reading Challenge
And Summer Camp 2024 is done! Ding, ding, ding!
I achieved my goal of 32 articles and I'm so happy! A "Dewy Diamond" I am, and I was able to do it even after I spent most of the first week planting seeds in the garden. I was able to take control of my perfectionism and let the words flow.
It's such a blatant difference from last year, where I only managed to make 11 articles—I've been treating my ADHD since then.
And I've started drinking a
healthy energy drink that provides energy through vitamins and caffine (it shows how deficient I am, wow), so I was able combat my fatigue which has seemed to have gotten worse since that sicknes I got over Christmas (probably was my second bout of Covid).
So Eldûra is 32 articles richer! And I'm so happy. There are several articles with dated creations towards the end of the challenge's runtime that are missing pictures, and I will be working to fix that once the judging period is over.
Now onto the articles!

(I couldn't get the articleblock code for this one) I love volcanoes. The only bad thing about The Lord of the Rings is the fact that it only had one volcano, lol. This article is a nice read and, man, such an eruption after such a long winter is sure to mess up the climate somewhat.

The Summer Camp Articles I Read:
Queen Valdis by Hanhula
The first thing I have to say about this article: It is visually gorgeous. Even though I'm not familiar with the world, creatures, and rules in which the world of this article is built upon, that didn't stop me from enjoying it. Valdis is a facinating creature, showing kindness as often as she is cold. A character type that is not often seen in an antagonist.Mountain Farmstead by Siobhanthewriter
A straight-forward article about a lovely little retreat in the mountains. I would love to live in such a beautiful place. It reminds me of Jasper, Alberta, or Banff (tho, more Jasper, imo).Marosi, the Marquis of Music by Wulvenfire
I always like it when a noble is liked by the commonfolk, that a noble has shrugged off or was born with no over-inflated pride. Interesting read and easy to read (I have ADHD and astigmatism so some fonts can be hard to read when paired with a crowded line-height). I'm intrigued to read more.Frostwhisper Glacier by Auzins92
There's nothing more terrifying than the slow and inevitable march of something that you cannot stop. This is a nice and crisp article about a threat that is steadily bulldozing all that stands in its way.The Vulcanalia by Will Written
This is a kind of event you don't really see in stories these days, which is a bummer because I find the thought of Jupiter turning into a star quite facinating. Scientific realists can keep their mouths shut lol, we need more Jupiters turning into stars! The Eruption of Mon Dravara by AmazingChi ▾
