Allathri Aasimar

peta zokh (/peta zoχ/ , solar spirit)   The Allathri, also known as the Peta Zokh, are a group of aasimar. An aasimar is considered intrinsically a Peta Zokh when they first reincarnate based on their skin being golden with white geometric markings, reminiscent of Allathra.   The Peta Zokh aasimar tend to hold similar cultural ideas related to Allathra's principles. It is not unheard of for a different sentient to follow the Peta Zokh style of life and culture. If they show enough piety and devotion to the way of life, the aasimar will welcome them.

Shared customary codes and values

Peta Zokh are devoted to the teachings of Allathra, the divine sun of civilization, peace, war, and truth, and they reflect the Aalun demiurges with their decisions.   The divine duty of the Peta Zokh is to support just rulers, encourage reason, and maintain the rhythmic cycle of peace and war, as represented by the Allathra demiurges. There is a particular conflict between two ideals that each Peta Zokh must confront -- how can the sun support both war and peace? The general consensus, as taught by monks and gurus, is that conflict grows in the hearts of all, with true peace being the ultimate goal. War, either through direct bloody conflict or through other expressions of change (debate, trade, etc.), is a direct route to end this conflict. If war is perpetuated for the sake of war, then it is a corruption. If peace is prematurely enforced without resolution, then the original conflict remains as a festering wound.   There is a simple honor in the power of the physical form. Many Peta Zokh are accomplished athletes and respect feats of skill and strength.

Common Etiquette rules

Peta Zokh stand firmly in ritualized interactions. Virtually every part of their life is enriched with detailed practices, ranging from complicated vows and promises, humbling requests for aid (known as proposing a plea), deep respect towards experience and wisdom, and hospitality rituals.   Peta Zokh favor emotional positivity, warm welcomes, and bright fun. This expression is a bit of a facade -- it does not encourage the true companionship a Peta Zokh honors so highly. When in a stressful situation, a Peta Zokh's stoic nature will manifest itself just as it would in any other aasimar.   The Peta Zokh is a high-context culture, roughly a value of 8 according to On the Nature of Culture.

Common Dress code

Peta Zokh wear golden robes that celebrate the strength of their form. Shining golden jewelry, armor, and ornamentation is frequently with ceremonial garb. The formal motif includes lily petals and the crowns often have a butterfly motif. In casual settings, Peta Zokh wears comfortable and fairly open clothing.   Peta Zokh feel little shame with their bodies, for they were created by holy hands. Feats of physical might are usually accompanied by barely any clothes.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

Peta Zokh have golden skin that glitters like brass. Bold, simple geometric patterns (lines, arcs, etc.) of white are symmetrically distributed across the skin from head to toe. Like most aasimar, Peta Zokh have no hair on their body.   Peta Zokh favor golden, yellow, and orange silken robes embroidered with vermilion thread. The fashion is reminiscent of traditional Indian or Khmer clothing in design with strong lily themes.   The physical body is a sacred thing, and thus Peta Zokh prize physical conditioning and stamina.

Gender Ideals

Because aasimar do not need to form breeding couples to propagate, Peta Zokh have little in structured gender ideals. Both male and female assigned at birth aasimar are fully capable of fulfilling any role. However, maturity does have ideals.   A freshly reincarnated aasimar has enough knowledge to function in the world, but little in actual experience. They are like children to the Peta Zokh and are given room to visit nation states, civilizations, and historical sites. After about five years of exploration and adventure, the Peta Zokh are expected to settle into a role in the world to fulfill Allathra's will.
