Atina
Atina is a sparsely populated island civilization that spans two island chains in the south western regio of Whohe Dvuha. It is considered to be a holy nation to the Celestial and Cyclical pantheons and is a complex theocracy.
Atina is mostly populated by devout monks of all races and has the largest population of native aasimars. Access to Atina’s shores is highly restricted and its holy guardian sect only allows the most sacred or devout pilgrims in.
Its lands are largely inhospitable, so it relies heavily on magic and difficult agricultural practices to sustain itself with little outside aid. Atina does not produce many adventuring or wandering civilians, nor does it produce any major products or goods other than its popular and fine silks.
The western chain of islands have thick and wild forests at the foothills of tall mountains. The southern chain of islands is mostly hot, barren, and arid deserts.
Culturally, Atina is incredibly devout. It is centered on the unified teachings of the Celestial and Cyclical pantheons. Faith and spirituality are incredibly important to Atinans and the citizenry tends to live humbly. Astrology and divination is treated with gravitas.

When an aasimar is born, it is usually in Atina. They are given the best care possible and raised communally.

Territories
Atina is a loose association of island chains in Whohe Dvuha, specifically one chain in the Irisi region and one chain between Irisi and Oini. The islands are widely considered a paradise by the few people in Hillit who are able to view it.
Atina has locked down its borders to all travelers except for a few exceptions of priests, traders, and pilgrims. This is because Atina tends to and watches over sacred sites halllowed in the Celestial Pantheon faith. It is the only known nation that has the rare reincarnating aasimar.
The northern Atinan islands are approximately 1.19 × 1011 fl2 (11,000 km2). The southern Atinan islands are approximately 6.4 × 1010 fl2 (6,000 km2).
Military
Atina has a small but fierce force of monastic orders who defend their borders from supernatural and mundane threats that risk the sanctity of the holy sites. Atina will very rarely intervene with international affairs -- instead, they remind neutral in almost all conflicts.

Foreign Relations
Atina has a very dependent relationship on is neighboring nation Brasi -- much of its trade and diplomatic influence is through this relationship.
Atina is the loudest voice in the United Halla Alliance for razing the fiendish presence in The Mouth and freeing the currently desecrated holy sites and resanctifying them so Atina can attend to them for more aasimar reincarnation locations.
Agriculture & Industry
Atinans tend to favor indigo, violent, and gold silks from the internationally famous Atinan silkworms.
Atina has self-sustaining farming communes that maintain the herbal and agricultural needs of its citizens, but the capacity is limited. Since the end of The Boiling Sea, cooler and richer winds have been washing over Atina and enabling more fruitful farms.
The greatest source of Atina husbandry is its rare Atinan silkworm, which produces some of the most prized silk in Hillit.
Trade & Transport
Atina has a few sea-based trade routes to Brasi and has two rarely-used nodes in the Iritan Ethereal Translocation Network. The borders are largely closed to outside influence, so there is little interaction with other nations.
Atina does have a network of ferries between its islands and one route between its two main island chains.
Education
Atina has a few Stoa set up in its islands for the children born on the islands and for the newly reincarnated aasimar. There is virtually no arcanist or medica training, nor much trade training. Atina does offer a significant amount of theological education and meditative combative training in its monastic orders.
There is a student exchange program with the Universitate, which allows an Atinan citizens the opportunity to leave the islands and visit one of the campuses for a more robust and advanced education.
Infrastructure
Atina has few real cities aside from the capital Azralia. Most significant settlements are massive monastic and farming communities, such as Suctochora, which contains the teleportation node to the Iritan Ethereal Translocation Network. These communes share virtually all of their resources amongst each other freely.
The life inside a commune is simple. There are aqueducts that draw water from springs for the farms and a basic sewage system for the communes. Simple ferry systems connect the islands together and share goods, but most communes are fairly self-sufficient.
