Materia 48: "Dual Faces"

General Summary

In Kamuishi, Hanako attends the first meeting of her Lord's Council. Dai pushes for the outlawing of Crisei monks in the city; Hanako, Gudmund, and Mirna push back. Naevys alludes mysterously to the Crown of Karsus, a magical artifact from a distant world. After the meeting, the party sets off to investigate the house of an Apostle who has been watching the party, finding him connected to Feyrith Elro.
After discussing with Fredrika Todesfall and Sora Anzai, the party debates the nature of Fredrika's relationship with Feyrith, as they discover her love is written into her contract. Making plants to find a way to talk to him, the party enlists the aid of Isabella, who offers her help in exchange for being allowed to prosthelytize in Mari's realm. Marius approaches Mari with another proposition; that she should betray Fredrika when she attempts to usurp Titivilus. Asaala promises the resurrection of Mari's sisters Bella and Tami in exchange for her loyalty.
