Prospecting Claims Court

Prospecting Claims Court handles any and all disputes between a prospector and their clients, or rival prospectors regarding their services. This small court may conduct trials for cases brought forth by prospectors or their clients, for any disputable issue.   Located in the heart of the Services & Trades Corridor, Prospecting Claims Court operates nearly all day, every day, open to any and all people. Dwarves tend to make up the bulk of their clientele, but occasionally a human will come in with a case or to be tried.   Prospecting Claims Court will often throw out a case in which no formal contract was signed between prospector and client; they believe without formal documentation and evidence of a broken aggrement, the majority of these cases will be hearsay. Many cases also involve a client upset that they had minimal success in their mines, and blame the prospector for intentionally giving them bad advice on where to mine. In such cases, a character assessment is necessary to determine the legitimacy of the prospector's services. Additionally, there have been a small number of cases where clients falsely claimed they had no success (and thus refused payment to the prospector), and a thorough investigation of their mine and properties found an abundance of Mythril.   Prospecting Claims Court also handles disputes where two different prospectors advised two different clients to mine the same area, but usually these cases are disputed between the clients, not the prospectors.
