Station House
The station house serves the needs of the town guard. affectionately called the station pub by those who serve it features three long table benches sometimes filled with men of the guard and sometimes just a sparse smattering. there are also many shelves of liquor and a the store room with more barrels and some extra equipment and uniforms.
there are two holding cells in the back with some bunks that may be occupied by criminals or a guardsmen himself in need of rest.
upstairs is where the captain and her ranked officers would conduct business. there is a large wood desk in the corner with drawers overflowing with papers of rosters, signatures and agreements for services in exchange of goods, notes and scribblings of ideas, promises, and other things meant to be remember all shuffled together. but mostly the second floor is for meetings with other captains so it is arranged with stuffed chairs and comfy loveseats velveteen and decadent and a tad dusty.
if there is some ongoing disturbance or crime in progress, one could venture into the station for help but you'll most likely be turned away or dragging a drunk guard with a sudden sense of duty. It's much better to gather witnesses and take the matter to the court house next door or find a guard already on patrol in the area. Or (if you have the money) take the measures to prevent it happening again by paying a guardsmen yourself.
