The Hammer and Shovel

The Hammer and Shovel is a tool shop in the trade corridor. “Born from the Boom.” The shop has been in Mythrite near since the inception. Owned by Bomjag, the building was quickly erected, in a rather successful attempt at taking advantage of growing demand. It sells to a variety of clientele, a growing issue for some of the shop’s usual craft makers. Business has slowed at The Hammer and Shovel. Somli Lightforge, is refusing to sell his products to humans, and in turn, refusing to send his products to the shop. Bomjag has begun to open negotiations with Somli however Somli refuses to budge. Boban Chev has also been darkening the doorstep over the last couple weeks, coming into the shop to admire the various crafts held within. The two can often be seen failing to communicate with each other. The shop itself isn’t all that large. A large wooden shed or a small barn, an open space with a roof that Bomjag uses to sell his various wares. The building is starting to tilt despite its short life. A few support beams have been added to the outside wall to prevent further sliding. More and more people are skirting around the building, praying they won’t be near it when it flattens. A small wooden sign hangs above the outside door. Paint chips from its surface and a birds nest can be seen poking out from atop the sign. A hammer and shovel sit parallel to each other. Both tools look rusted as their gray paint splinters off. A sign of dwindling business as winter slows down the settlement.
