Geography
Fungalia is a vast
forest with towering mushrooms of varying sizes creating a canopy that shades the ground below. The forest floor is filled with small vibrant fungal life, forming a mess of patterns that connect the forest together. Giant mushrooms serve as both landmarks and housing. At the heart of the forests stands the colossal Lush Cap, a pink mushroom so immense it serves as a beacon visible from every corner of the forest.
Climate
The forest enjoys a
balanced climate, with help from the mushrooms themselves and their ability to regulate the conditions of the ground below. Its temperatures and humidity remain moderate throughout the year, fostering optimal conditions for the growth of a diverse array of mushrooms. In dense areas of the forest, a perpetual mist may hang in the air, creating a chill that hides many creatures within. This moisture also supports the growth of fungi.
Ecosystem
The forest is home to a rich variety of mushrooms, ranging from
small, bioluminescent fungi which have adapted to relatively low light conditions to
colossal mushrooms resembling towering trees. Each mushroom species contributes to the unique ecosystem, providing habitat, sustenance, and illumination. Some believe that the entire forest is interconnected through an extensive mycelium network.
Spirit animals emit a gentle blue glow, contributing to the mystical ambiance of the forest. The spirits are believed to embody the essence of the animals there.
