Geography
Interwoven waterways are nestled through dense mangrove forests, creating a sort of labyrinthine maze. The forest's trees consist of
thick and dense roots that are submerged in the mixture of fresh and salty waters. The nature incorporates music into its very essence, from the roots and waterways to its natural wildlife. Taking advantage of the landscape, residents would use boats as their primary means of travel through the forest's symphony.
Climate
The forest experiences a tropical climate with
high temperatures and humidity throughout the year. The air is often thick with moisture. The region is prone to heavy rains and occasional thunderstorms. This rainfall leads to many occurances of flooding, contributing to the land's muddy soil. The people would have to adjust to the river's change in water level rises.
Ecosystem
The interwinding roots of the forest extend both above and below the water's surface, and would produce a subtle and melodic tone whenever water or wind strikes them. These unique trees provide refuge for an abundance of land and marine life alike, creating a rich and diverse ecosystem.
Raccoons, owls, and flamingos find shelter in the branches, humming to the tunes of the trees. The underwater roots of the mangroves serve as a nursery and a home for marine life. Small fish and crabs find shelter among the roots, while larger predators such as
crocodiles and alligators navigate the deeper channels in search of prey. They create percussive beats with their movements.
