Geography
The plains of Prairie Fields stretch endlessly, a
vast expanse of lush green grass with the occasional colorful flower patches that fill the region. Dirt paths are formed from the common strides of farmers and horses. The landscape consists of gentle slopes and valleys, making the horizon visible from many angles. Small portions of trees stand above the slopes, creating small shades. The soil proves fertile, which makes creating large sections of farmland easy and effective in providing food.
The region’s most mysterious and yet defining feature is the
colossal stone walls that encircle a significant portion of the plains. They currently serve to protect the plains against dangerous beasts and spirits that lie outside the border. The origin of these walls is filled with unanswered mysteries, their construction, and their original purpose lost to time. They bear
ancient carvings and symbols that hint at a forgotten history. Its scale is almost beyond comprehension.
Climate
The climate of the plains region is quite calm and timid, with
mild seasons of rainfall and moderate temperature changes. The changing seasons bring variations in the landscape. Spring sees the bloom of colorful flowers. Summer bathes the plains in warm sunlight. Autumn pushes leaves to fall. Lastly winter blankets the plains with a thin layer of snow.
This climate contributes to the fertility of the soil, making it ideal for agriculture.
Ecosystem
The plains, with its abundance of vibrant grass, are home to a
diverse array of flower and insect life. Colorful flowers bloom in harmony with the changing seasons, painting the landscape with different hues. Insects such as
butterflies and bees often visit these flowers.
Zebras and gazelles live in herds and munch on grass, while across the horizon, large
giraffes and elephants can be found. The plains are also home to deadly predators, such as
lions, cheetahs and hawks that hunt for prey who are separated from their herd.
In farmland, a variety of different crops are managed. Fruits and vegetables are maintained to be harvested and sold to the market. Farm animals such as
cows, sheep, and pigs are kept inside barn houses.
Dogs and cats are often domesticated and found as pets, while
horses are the primary form of transportation for long distances.
