Deputy Cass

A mysterious stranger coming from the Dragonbone Valley, Deputy Cass arrived in Storonthorpe a decade a go and befriended a young Reeve Mester eventually settling in the town and joining their deputies. Deputy Cass was a key part of the Storonthorpe resistance cell, using her sharpshooting skill and gunpowder rifle to snipe enemies from afar with lethality and precision.

Storonthorpe Rebellion

When The Snow Lord† attacked Storonthorpe in the dawn hours of the four week war, Cass was on duty on the other side of town. The Jotun overwhelmed the scant and ill prepared defenders, forcing the deputy to seek shelter with her friend and mentor Reeve Mester. Working closely within and the other resistance members, Cass ambushed giant patrols and killed raiding parties sent to find them.
The fierce deputy helped the reeve orchestrate his plan to liberate the stolen food reserves of Storonthorpe and distribute them to the people. With the help of Doomed 2 Die, their plan nearly went off without fail until the unexpected arrival of the Snow Lord, Boulder Jarl, and Eyes of Varpak. Cass was knocked unconscious when the building she was on collapsed. She was healed by Einar, and with Balcorus † fighting the Snow Lord she had an opportunity to escape.
Cass was helped to safety by Ivar who had been coming to aid the party in their battle only to find them gone. The two took shelter in the museum of goblin history and informed Doomed 2 Die of their location, and organized a counter plan to save the captured 22nd Scout unit.
In the second plan, Cass took up a hidden position, opening fire on the giants once more, sowing enough discord to allow for Heli Ristor † to be rescued whilst the others battled the giant forces. The giants were defeated and her town freed, leading to a night of celebration.

Battle of Jastingrag

When Doomed 2 Die and the Jameleskan Military planned their attack on the Snow Lord’s capital, Cass and the other deputies were called to action. Cass led a contingent of deputies, all armed with bows and crude firearms to the battle and served in the artillery, striking down the giants as they attempted a counter attack.

Relationships

Deputy Cass has no known permanent partner, but her good looks made her a ‘token’ of affection from Gallus and Val when Doomed 2 Die visited their camp. At first hitting it off with the Ice Elf psi-warrior, the two engaging in a frequent game of innuendo and suggestion, Val attempted to interject and get some attention, flattering Cass for the attention. In the end, she spent the night with Gallus.

Alternate Reality

In the alternate reality created by Primus where Doomed 2 Die never met, Cass and the rest of the Storonthrope deputies were killed by the Snow Lord.
