Sarli Neighborhoods
Surprisingly, Sarli is the largest Heortling urban center in Glorantha – with more Heortlings than any city in Dragon Pass or Heortland. Sarli is dominated by the Grace Temple and Storm Hill, the abodes of Ernalda and Orlanth. The district has grown enormously since the Lunar conquest of Dragon Pass receiving thousands of refugees from Heortland and Sartar. Many temples and shrines to the gods of Dragon Pass can be found here.
Chiefs providing protection and patronage rule the neighborhoods. Neighborhoods resemble clan holdings, and many are very territorial, particularly in the Loop and Northside, and protected by clan militia. There are many skilled crafters, including weavers, masons, potters, redsmiths, and stoneworkers in this district.
Most clans are loose coalitions of families and small bloodlines from Sartar or Heortland who came to Nochet. These families have been adopted into the neighborhood clans through specific rites (including clan tattoos and badges) to signify they are part of a given community. Those without a patron are usually desperate and live in bleak neighborhoods like No Wind.
