Dearno Neighborhoods
Dearno is a wealthy district, home to ten of the Enfranchised Houses and their palaces, and one of the two oldest districts in the city. Dearno includes the Knowledge Temple and the Great Hospital, famed throughout Glorantha as a center of learning and healing, and many scribes, administrators, officials, and healers also live here.
At odds with that, the district also has most of the troll population of Nochet. Some 3000 trolls and trollkin live in the largely buried area south of the Night Temple and bordering on Backside known as the Dark Warrens. Above the Dark Warrens old, ruined buildings peek out amidst wild grasses, brush, shrubs, and weeds where sacred swine and rubble runners feed, and large snakes hunt vermin and beetles.
