The Veldt
A vast savannah surrounded by mountains in central Duros, the Veldt is the ancestral home of the Odakota people.
Geography
The Veldt reaches from the Shining Peaks in the north to the tip of the Jagst Peninsula in the south. Politically, it has been split in half by Asturia when it established the province of Westlund. The verdant green Plains of Astur give way to the rocky badlands of the Crimson Lowland marked by the Maendros River to the west. Marking the center of the Veldt is a mountain, Harrowcrown, that has spiritual significance to both the Odakota tribes and the Anasazi before them. Two other mountains, Red Ridge and The Thunderhead lie within the boundaries of Westlund.
