The City Sidere
As the oldest and largest settlement within The Hollow, the City Sidere is its de facto capital.
Government
In theory, the City Sidere is ruled solely by its Prince. In practice, however, the Prince must take into consideration the counsel of the Two Courts: The Royal Court and the Court of the Alders. The Royal Court includes the Prince's closest advisors, the General of Sidere, and a representative of Architects' Guild, while the Court of the Alders consists of an elected representative, or alder, from each of the city's districts.
By the letter of the law, the Courts only advise the Prince, who is free to decree whatever he likes. In practice, however, the Prince's wishes are rarely carried out without the consent of the Courts.
Defences
Sidere is a walled city, though some notable enclaves exist outside the wall. Individuals who are not registered with the Lawkeepers as citizens or legal residents must leave the city by nightfall; they typically stay in Moonsteps, though poorer individuals may end up in Cabbage Park.
