Personal history

Bollman Bolder was born on a horse farm 4 miles north of the City of Jemptal. He worked the farm with his family until he was 15, then listed with the Ward of Jemptal's First Company of Dragoons. Bollman spent the next 26 years with the Dragoons, rising to Knight Captain of Dragoons and earning several honors and mentions in dispatch.   In 215, Duke Turl am Nari of the High Kingdom of Imesse invaded Cobal near Stomar, and Bollman and his father, Rollard Bolder, moved with their commands to stop the invasion. While attacking the retreating Imessian forces south of Elimar at Smallford Crossing, Bollman was struck in the leg with a crossbow bolt, but fought on through the rest of the day with the tip of the missile still in his thigh. His father was killed in the same battle when his charger was shot out from under him and he was outnumbered by half a dozen men-at-arms.   Bollman got his leg treated at the end of the battle, but the wound became infected and he died of complications 7 days after the battle. It was his forty first birthday.   He is buried with his father near the battlefield where they fought.
