The Overworld
This is the world you have known all your life -- the lush land where the sun rules by day and the moon governs the night. The glittering oceans encompass the landscape you call your home. The forest glades offer you their bounty, the plains give you miles of fair land to build your cities, the deserts challenge you to withstand their heat and gritty sand, the mountains reach up to heights you didn't think were possible, and the caves deep below promise their treasures. You know, however, that the bounty of this world is not all yours for the taking. You must learn to share it with the Other People and creatures who also inhabit it. In the past, some have had difficulty with it. They suffered greatly for greed. Do not make their mistake. You cannot tame all of the wilderness.
Geography
The Overworld consists of many ecosystems and climate regions, called biomes. There are dozens of biome types, such as snowy areas, plains, forests, mountains, deserts, badlands, oceans, wetlands, rivers, rainforests, and beaches.
