Threnody
Threnody was a Satyr who was a worshiper of Oldorin. At some point, his connection to the God of fate brought him oracular powers. He spent a long life traveling all over Aldorath, bestowing prophecy and wisdom wherever he went.
He was brought to Estwald by Sir Galenus Grimwave for Castle Caladorn's celebration of Winterbright, 1081 SKR. While there, he gave a prophecy which now haunts the royal family of Summerlund:
I have seen the future in a terrible dream,
For three of your guests are not all that they seem.
One will betray you and tear your house down.
One will supplant you and wear your gold crown.
The third will cry crocodile tears at your wake
Then call to the Old Ones and make the world shake.
A worse fate awaits should this dream you forestall:
If your child takes the crown, then the kingdom will fall.
Elements of the prophecy have seeming come true. The betrayer seems to have been the treacherous Prince Ullyn Thonwyr, who murdered his own family. The supplanter may refer to Tristan Holdfast, who has been revealed as the lost Tarmoore Heir. The third seems to have been Lord Kaldakos Greysails, who summoned the Worldbreaker with the help of the Old One Serresque.
In speaking with the Fire Wasps, he revealed that he knew he own death was coming soon.In 1081 SKR, Shaper of the Fire Wasps tried to send to Threnody. The reply he received seemed to be a younger voice that called itself Elegy. They met with her in Gwyllan's Watch and got some answers from her as to the road that lay ahead of them.
