A Year in the Life
I'm a little worried about Rerae. For some reason, she sewed fabric to her skin to cover her burn marks. She also stopped speaking to all of us. She wouldn't even write on her chalkboard.
I got a message from Blaghin to meet her at the Fluffy Bunny. While there, she told me to go to Ciendress when I could for a ceremony. After that Abby and I met a mighty pretty lady named, Itophi. Turns out Chardixra killed her family too. We all hit it off well and she asked to travel with us for a while. Before we left the Fluffy Bunny, Abby and I signed up for a full spa day. It was pricey, but worth it.
Arc woke up, which was wonderful, and we stayed in Swiftrun long enough to celebrate the solstice. That was one good party.
We decided it was time to head out. Rerae finally spoke to us... to tell us to fuck off when we asked if she was coming with us. So we left without her. We went to Qorin and Effildiessen. I found someone willing to train me in tinkering so I can help take care of Arc, and possibly help him on his projects. I also found someone who could make the armor I want. I just have to find the dragon scales, and pay a big ol lump of gold.
We went to Shira's tree which is lush and beautiful now. Rankle was there! Apparently he can get out now and then to visit, but he has a curfew. It sure was nice to catch up with him.
We made it to Old Stone Chimney, where it turns out Krisna, Phixinia, & Rolamon are all a big deal. They're pretty much in charge of the town! Bittersweet news, they are starting to remember! I invite all three of them to come visit me in Qorin while I'm learning tinkering in Effildissen.
In Stone Briar, Abby took me to the grave of his cousin Oofa. Oofa died by drowning when they were goofing off as kids. Abby was real upset. I just let him talk, and did my best to offer him comfort. I meant a lot to me that he shared this with me.
In Ciendress Blaghin tells me to meet at the Five Pools at midnight. Scoti, Fari, and some other knights were all there. It was s cereony for me! I got promoted to Knight Commander Errant of the Silver Crescent! I was so humbled and honored, I could have crieed!
In Ashendissa, at Chardixra's abandoned lair, I found enough of her scales to make my armor. Once upon a time, I never would of even thought of wearing her scales. Now, though, it symbolizes to me that I'm not afraid of her anymore. I mean, I still know she's powerful and could kill me instead of me killing her... but now I have a confidence about it. Especially with Abby and the others at my side. We're going to take her down.
We returned to Qorin and Effildiessen. I had a really nice visit with Krisna, Phixina, & Rolamon, I got my armor made. Arc was even able to add the enchantment from my old armor onto this new armor. Over about six months, I learned some tinkering. I hope it will come in useful.
