We returned to Shirris with the bodies of Barg and Phindwillis. The guards buried Phindwillis under a big beautiful maple tree just outside of town. Then we took Barg's body to a chapel where I asked them to bring Barg back to us. They were reluctant, but after Abby spoke to them, they told us to come back in the evening.
I asked Abby to send a message to Blaghin tellin' her of the situation and asking for help against the huge Treant mutant. She said to wait there and defend the town and that someone would be coming to help.
THat night we went back to the temple. The Vicar had us take part in the ritual to bring Barg back to us. Abby, Mavinda, and I each spoke on his behalf. Then we prayed for hours and hours. It was all worth it though, our Barg came back to us. He told the Vicar his god granted him a boon, and then the vicar's eye burned out. Not much of a boon, but that's none of my business. Barg said he saw his people while he was dead. They finally respected him due to the fact that he killed 'em all. Then a voice commanded that he come back to us, and so he did.
By then we were all exhausted and really needed some sleep. We left word that we should be woken should the town come under attack. 'For we slept, Mavinda pulled me aside to say he'd stick around town with me, but if things got too bad, he'd be outta there because of his priorities. I told him I understood, and I did. None of the others are obligated to stay, but they all did.
A day or so later, we saw some treants and awakened trees approaching the town. We attacked. We got all of the treants, but most of the awakened trees ran away.
The next day we saw three figures approaching. Blaghin, someone I don't know, and, wouldn't you know it, Abby's Cousin Winnie! That must mean he's a Knight of the Crescent Moon, too. I hope they can help us take care of the monster. I don't wanna let this town down again.
