Ciendris

by Never Nestknitter

One night during out trek to Ciendris, We got attacked by three half-ogres. Another night, we were attacked by a buncha ghouls. We held our own both times.

We arrived in Ciendris in the evening and went straight to the inn where I was supposed to meet Blaghin, The Hearth of the Oak. The first person we met there was an orc woman who said shes called Southraun the Disfigured. I din't see nothin disfigured about her, and apparently neither did Barg. HE got all types of giddy and couldn't keep his eyes off of her. He flirted with her through the night.

I found Blaghin in the tap room and tell her everything. She says she needs some time to come up with a plan and tells me to find her the following night. I spent the rest of the night at the bar with Abby. He drank, and drank and drank.I eventually got him into his bed so he could sleep it off. He's mighty nervous about seeing his family.

In the morning, Abby went off to find his family, and the rest of us set out to do some shopping. The most interesting place we found was a magic shop called Wandare's Wonders. It's run by a woman who is part elf, and part halfling, which is pretty rare. We found out her name was Wandare Eventwinkle. Her father an elf named Aradell, sat in a rocker by the door. Wandare offered some mighty fine merchandise. I was really taken in by a beautiful cloak called, "Nature's Mantle." It's supposed to help the wearer hide. Then my eyes fell on a thing called, "The Amulet of the Devout." It had the symbol of the Everlasting Flame on it. I just knew I had to get it for Abby. My mantle could wait, but I'd been lookin for a way to thank Abby for saving my life. Unfortunately, I didn't have quite enough to buy it, but lucky for me, Barg made up the difference. I was a little disappointed that it could no longer be a special gift from me, but at least he'll have it.

When we left, we got word the the Bishop had called for us. He had a whole bunch a questions for us about Abby, including about the time I had died. Eventually, Abby was able to join us and we had a real good feast.

Back at the Hearth of the Oak, Blaghin was waitin for me. She gave me a new insignia indicating I was now a full fledged Knight. I couldn't be more proud. She told me she needed more time to come up with a plan, and asked that I meet her back here in six weeks time.
