The Return (Part 2)

After an unusual evening at Rosemary's, we head into the CSIRO to work things out.
Meeting with Mr. Smith, we are confronted with 2 "strangers" in James and Klaus who have used their security badges to get into the CSIRO.
Apparently, they are not known in this world....
 
After sorting out James and Klaus's identities, we are told that Gabriela Milagre is not currently in the employ of the CSIRO.
We convinced Mr. Smith to provide us with Milagre's research for Rosemary and Klaus to look at.
It seems that further consultation with Gabriela is needed.
We are given her address where she lives with her grandmother and head over there to have a chat.
 
As we arrive, the house seems eerily familiar. Is it the same one that we were attacked at when we were looking for the kidnapped child?
We pull up and Klaus and Sam go to the front door while Alice goes around the back of the house.
Rosemary, Frank, and James stay in the car.
 
We knock on the front door which is answered by Garbiela's aunt.
As we started to introduce ourselves to her, it all happens again!!!!
Two cars approach down the street and open fire on the people at the front door, hitting Klaus in the process.
The team responded by running into one of the cars and shooting the driver and 2 shooters in each car, leaving chaotic scenes as locals run for cover and 2 cars disabled with horn blaring in the street.
At this stage we have an intense feeling of Deja Vu, knowing that something very similar has happened before.
As we start to evaluate the carnage before us Klaus starts to make his way upstairs in the house, looking for Gabriela.......
 
When Klaus reached the top of the stairs, he is greeted by a young (17 year old) Gabriela Milagre, addressing Klaus as "Father" in Liesl's voice. She seems quite confused and was only re-assured after seeing our CSIRO badges. After explaining that we may from another world, Gabriela goes into a note taking frenzy in some sort of short hand.
 
In another turn of events, we have just noticed that the woman from the bullet is with us, apparently having been here for quite some time.
 
After checking on Klaus' and Gabriela's aunt's injuries (she was knocked out when Klaus pushed her to the floor to avoid gunfire, but she is in good hands with Alice looking after her), we packed everyone into our car and the T-Bird and headed back to the CSIRO to work out what happens next.
 
Back at the CSIRO things start getting even weirder (if that is at all possible!) as Gabriela seems to swap between being herself (arrogant Dr Milagre) and Liesl (who seems to be trapped in some dark place and can only see us through Gabriela's eyes)
 
One thing is certain, Dr Milagre seems sure that we need her help after describing the timeline disparity between the worlds we have visited (particularly her age difference between them) and mentioned something about this altering her theories and that some worlds may pose a threat to others now.
 
What awaits us next, I wonder
