The Oshal War
Also known as the war against the yuan-ti, The Oshal War includes the many, many conflicts that come from most of The Continent against the yuan-ti invaders ever since they arrived in the south east of the land mass. It is noted as being one of the longest wars in The Continent's history, not being quite as bloody and violent as The Sahrian War and Salardian War, but seemingly having no end, due to the unique methods that the snake-folk are utilising.
Beginning of the War
The War began after the yuan-ti invaded The Old Oshal Empire, essentially running them all out in half a dozen years. From this event, and the panic of both the elven kingdoms and the human city states to the west, the elves left the lands that would be Knaeva and the humans formed the country of Alderhardt, banning together to deal with this threat. Alderhardt and the elves of the The Ithryl Woods would not ally together until years later, once Valenrouse, a typically elven city in Alderhardt, would appoint an elven leader that would strive for this alliance. The war itself was largely a defensive ordeal for the early Allies, as there was no real way of having soldiers travel for months just to attack a slave camp. The yuan-ti; however, could burrow through the ground, crossing countries in mere days. They also had no qualms about attack civilians, taking them as slaves more so than soldiers, who were largely useless, given that there was no way of anticipating an attack from the yuan-ti. Still, the shared resources, and growth of the many cities, was pivotal in the war, with many moving to the cities, which were very rarely attacked, and if they were, the assaults would not be successful. The War to this Day
There would be many factors that altered the terms of the war. These would include the forming of the three elven kingdoms, with the high elves of The Ithryl Woods, drow of Avalencia and eladrin of Ellhesari fairly recently. Knaeva was also founded, bringing in an entirely new power dynamic, bringing over peoples from countries that would have never gotten involved otherwise. Many believed that they would see the end to the yuan-ti now, but the massacre of Frandenyre and the failed siege of Ad-Durat changed many minds about this, reaffirming that the yuan-ti are still as strong as ever.

Strength
One of the strongest alliances of the Continent, many cite the reason for the yuan-ti's victories to their manner of capturing and fighting, with the use of Stone Shaping Serpents nullifying much of the alliance's near unparalleled military strength.
Their full might is not know, but to compete with the Allies of the Continent means that their military might must be considerable.
Casualties
They have lost tens of thousands of people, given how long the conflict has been, to slavery and general warfare. More recent example include the massacre at Frandenyre and both sieges of Ad-Durat.
Despite many yuan-ti being reportedly slain, it is unknown as to the actual numbers, given how they continue to constantly invade.
Objectives
To prevent the constant kidnapping and forced slavery of their people by the yuan-ti. Despite the many alliances and diplomatic resolutions made by these allies they will not strive for one here, given how primitive the yuan-ti seem
Not much is known about the yuan-ti's true goals, but what is known is that they constantly capture the many people of The Continent as slaves, sometimes turning them into yuan-ti purebloods.
