The Hope Family

The Hope Family got it’s name from the Tabaxi Clan that helped several of the locals with the beasts of the forrest and as such, they accidentally came to be the protectors of the land, and eventually were seen as it’s Lords, despite no actual desire for wealth or power. As such the Hope manor is relatively quant and seen as one of the poorer families. However, the people under them love them very dearly. They were particularly famous for taming the forest and brokering a peace for many years, though it has recently broken up and returned to being a hostile environment.

Structure

The Tabaxi family doesn't hold with the a standard belief of succession. While they publicly follow the standard practice of lordship and succession, any and all members of the family have a fair say in decisions and actions.

Culture

The Shadowed Forest is full of people who appreciate honest trade and a nice life, though nothing to affluent as the Krag'nak Range or The Tower. It is full of farmland and a few large cities boasting several exotic stands and trades. However, the greatest impact of people is care for one another. It is considered downright insulting not to offer what help you can to a family that is struggling, especially where the forest itself is concerned. As such, personal ambition is a rare trait in the Shadowed Forest.

Public Agenda

The Hopes are most well-known for their efforts in the Shadowed Forest and used to be very sucessful traders in having the market cornered on things like spider silk. However, now that their relationship in the forest is poor, they've returned to fighting the beasts within it's boarders.

Assets

While well-armed against the dangers of the forest, the Cat Family's best assets were from the forest creatures themselves, which they've now lost access to after Lord Ice's death.

Caring

Impressed with the determinations of the Hope Family, the Lichts have often sent soldiers and aid to the Shadowed Forest to help keep it under control, and therefore are on very good terms with the Hopes, even holding an unofficial alliance with them.

Strength and Compassion

The Ofelds and Hopes have found common ground and respect one another in that they both respect the other's ability in battle and the fact that they still show a care for those who live under them.

Care

The families hold a mutual respect built on their care for their respective citizens.

Care/Distrust

While the Underborne appreciate the care and effort the Hope family shows for their people, the Hopes dislike the Underborne for their strange and possibly illegal and immoral magic practices.

Caring

The Doxys actually approve of the Hopes and their efforts as it shows a lot of care and attention to those who live in the Shadowed Forrest's land.

Caring

The Gasters hold a standing respect for the Hopes due to the care and attention they give their citizens.

No Help

The Hopes bare a fair amount of resentment towards the Riverwoods for not assisting them much with their efforts to contain their forest.

The Dead

Being somewhat older in their thoughts, the Hopes don't like the idea of gathering all the dead in one place, believing it to be disrespectful to the dead who wish to remain by the family. However, this has never led to any real issue between the families.

No Help/Forest

Despite being an extremely wealthy family and being capable of providing help to the Hopes as they attempt to sort out their forest, the Eviers remain withdrawn due to a disapproval of the Hopes, believing them incapable of handling the issue appropriately.
