Cobblestone

Nestled with the great Knothole Forest to the west and the Ivory Coastal Mountains to the East, the town of Cobblestone is the largest settlement in southern Velant. Named after the substantial amount of stone that the nearby quarries of the town produce and provide the Kingdom of Velant, Cobblestone is an ideal location for many citizens of the kingdom who wish to carve out a decent life with community without the hustle and bustle of a massive city. Boasting a diverse population, the townsfolk usually congregate in the center of town around the Cobblestone clocktower, the tallest building in the town itself. Near the square is the ever popular Torch & Crown, the local tavern that sees frequent visitors, famous for its Cobblestone Cider. The town is ruled over by Count Callahan Vondrak in the nearby Drugal Castle, an imposing dreary structure overlooking the town from the south. With the Count's steward conducting affairs and relaying messages for the Count, and with almost every citizen never seeing the Count make a public appearance, rumors have surfaced in recent times that the Count doesn't even exist, or that Drugal Castle is the site of something far more sinister...
