Mason's Respite

The expertly crafted stone structure underneath a large tree in Knothole Forest is known as Mason's Respite, and serves as a somewhat secluded temple to Medulla. Halfway between the Velant cities of Cobblestone and Rimora, the underground temple was said to be constructed by a pair of master stone masons who were in love with each other.
The tale goes that, beyond carving out beautiful stone sculptures and the temple itself, the two masons also wished to carve out a life for each other. Sadly, not every love story ends happily, and the only memory of the masons besides the golems that serve as guardians to the temple is a small rock in the depths of the complex said to have a spirit of pure friendship within it.
